Job Title: Integrated Marketing Communciations Intern

Department: Marketing

Location: Lakeville, MN

Date: Summer 2023

JOB FUNCTION

The purpose of this position is to learn through an immersion within the Integrated Marketing Team. The intern will be a key member of the team, working on various projects throughout the summer and will close with a final presentation to the Marketing Leadership Team and cross functional partners. It is an exciting opportunity to hone skills and drive volume growth by identifying and delivering on consumer needs through media activations. This role is a great step in developing a long-term marketing career within Post Consumer Brands.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES / DUTIES

The Integrated Marketing Intern may assist in a number of project and/or operations support roles in the Marketing department. Assignments may include work such as:

  • Assist with community management across all social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest for PCB’s portfolio of brands
  • Analyze and report social media performance across all PCB active social accounts
  • Assist social media manager in tracking and identifying key social trends to inform content calendars
  • Create support plan for non-priority PCB brands on social and present recommendations to Marketing Leadership Team

Specific project and operational roles will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interests.


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates must be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree or at an institution with an accredited program in Marketing or Management
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing Communications, Insights, and Sales)
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action
  • A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology as a decision-support tool
  • Ability to identify and evaluate tactical methods to achieve objectives, identify deviations from the plan, and facilitate resolution
  • Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization
  • Previous internship or work experience (preferred)
  • Interest in the consumer packaged goods / manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Post Consumer Brands after graduation (strongly preferred)
