Job description: About the Opportunity
Seeking a motivated self starter that is interested in helping US manufacturers in the Midwest region solve their manufacturing challenges by managing and growing existing customer accounts. As a member of the sales team, your main objective is to retain and grow revenue within the existing customer account portfolio. This is accomplished by focusing largely on software maintenance retention, training and on-site service opportunities, upselling new licenses of software and add-ons while providing superior service to customers. Through account management you will focus on driving initiatives to elevate the experience of existing customers and foster strong customer relationships.
The role is primarily office based with phone, email and web based communication methods. Occasional customer visits could be necessary, but not regularly.
Serve as the main point of contact for managed accounts, both inbound and outbound, with a focus on developing deeper relationships through multiple points of contact.
Focus on customer retention by ensuring accounts are receiving the value of their software maintenance and other services.
Identify and generate new sales revenue through up-sell, cross sell, and training opportunities.
Utilize the sales process to identify, qualify, propose solutions, and follow through the decision process.
Generate estimates and maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities documented in CRM.
Manage implementations and post-sale initiatives for managed accounts.
Communicate clearly with applications, operations, and other team members to drive success.
Participate in team discussions on best practices to support sales growth strategies.
Meticulously document customer interactions and opportunities, using CRM software as a tool during the entire sales process, entering and analyzing data to assist with generating sales and managing accounts.
Work with marketing staff to implement and drive key marketing initiatives and promotions that aim to increase revenue.
Maintain thorough knowledge of our products and services.
Attend company meetings prepared with accurate and relevant input.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
1-3 years related experience in sales/account management environment
CNC machining experience and/or industry interest
Rapport with blue collar workers
Ability to track results/metrics and utilize for constant improvement.
Prior experience selling software technology solutions and services a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Works independently and as a team as appropriate
