Job title: Associate Athletic Director, Marketing and Creative Services

Job description: Supports Tulane athletic programs and external departments to promote and enhance, through marketing, creative content and digital media, the brand of the Tulane University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. As a senior leader on the external team, this person serves as the point person for comprehensive integrated marketing and digital media strategies which utilize communications tools, with special attention to marketing, in-game atmosphere, advertising, revenue enhancement, social media, graphic design and video. The successful candidate should be highly organized, detail-orientated, a good communicator and a skilled manager. This position works closely with multiple departments within athletics and the university with an emphasis on marketing, revenue enhancement, digital media, graphic design, video creative, band and spirit squads and overall brand enhancement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student-athletes and vendors
Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated
Strong organizational, management and leadership skills
Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and social media
Proven ability to multi-task effectively
Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
Available to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
Travel with sport teams for away contests
Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations
Required Education and/or Experience
7 years of experience in marketing, promotions, social and digital media
Supervisory experience
OR
High School Diploma/Equivalent
13 years of experience in marketing, promotions, social and digital media
Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Experience at the Division I intercollegiate level
Familiarity with game operations duties and responsibilities
