Position Summary

The Associate Engineer will support Project Managers and Project Engineers in completing design and construction documents for land development projects. The candidate will be required to work under moderate supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing construction plans, site plans, utility plans, grading plans, and exhibits
  • Using CADD software for the design and production of plans
  • Performing engineering calculations to support design
  • Preparing reports to support design
  • Communicating with team members, approval agencies, and clients

**Assist with other duties as assigned.

Compensation

The Associate Engineer salary will be based on years of experience and certification. The following table represents the salary ranges based on experience:

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

  • 0-4 years of similar experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Enrolled as an EI in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Microsoft Office and Office 365, SharePoint, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Smartsheet
  • General knowledge of plan requirements and details necessary for construction plan submittals to approval agencies for permitting and approvals
  • Knowledge of land development and survey terminology
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and develop professionally
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Must have a valid, active driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.

Work Hours:

Work Hours

7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs.

40 Hour Work Week

Monday through Friday, hours may vary with the workload.

Evenings/Weekends

As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position
