WHAT YOU WILL DO
Page physicians and staff.
Maintain appropriate documentations of all telecommunications processes.
Provide general hospital and patient information, answering calls in a friendly and courteous manner.
Put proper emergency plans into action.
Attend related meetings and maintain mandated hospital training assignments.
Assist in generating and understanding reports with other departments as needed.
Answer and dispatch security calls.

Adapt to an ever-changing healthcare environment.
Suggest goals and objectives of the Communications Department and ways to improve the department and the hospital (KAIZEN ideas).

Demonstrate flexibility in staffing and adaptability to changes in patient care practice.
Exercise safe judgement in decision making.
Demonstrate tact and understanding when dealing with others. Respond in a positive manner to constructive criticism.
