Reporting to the Global VP, Creative, the Creative Director will build and lead a specialized creative team on a variety of commercial assignments and special projects with Condé Nast’s global portfolio of brands. The ideal candidate is a multidimensional and conceptual creative with proven experience executing campaigns that bring brands closer to culture. They’re an expert in visual and written language, and will apply a distinct point of view to bold work for our most valued advertising partners.

At CNX, cross-functional collaboration is vital, and success relies on “walking the walk” in both advertising and editorial settings. In partnership with creative strategists, the Creative Director will carry concepts and engage stakeholders across all relevant divisions of the organization. Of equal importance is hands-on creation of assets (from marketing materials to film treatments and client pitch decks) in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

The next phase of growth for CNX is an important and evolving part of the global strategy for Condé Nast. The Creative Director will be positioned to contribute to a new vision for commercial creativity at the company, and the strongest candidate will be excited to make an impact early in the process.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with marketing leads on the conceptual creative development of custom programs from pitch to delivery.

Work closely with the Global VP, Creative on the development and communication of the creative strategy and positioning of CNX

Apply strategic insights to the development of creative concepts and inventive content formats for clients.

Set the bar for high quality creative output, and inspire key teams and stakeholders in the process of answering a brief.

Ensure CNX ideas properly represent the voices of our editorial brands as well as our advertising partners.

Champion diversity, inclusivity, and empathy in every stage of the creative process.

Serve as a mentor and thought leader among junior creative team members and cross-functional teammates.

Be a collaborative creative guide to strategists, marketers, producers, and clients.

Essential Skills & Requirements

7+ years professional experience as a senior creative in media or creative agencies.

Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.

Expert ability with Adobe Creative Suite and Google Slides.

Extensive experience on set and with pre- and post-production processes for video and still photography (digital and print).

Passion/experience in cultural categories relevant to Condé Nast audiences: fashion, entertainment, cuisine, beauty, travel, and technology.

A portfolio demonstrating a multidimensional body of work encompassing 360 creative campaigns (content and advertising).

Knowledge of new media formats and the web3 space is a plus.

Highly organized, and skilled with time-management and workload prioritization.

Experience building creative teams and implementing new processes is a plus.

Passionate about brands, ideas, stories, design and experiential, and a point of view that translates to brand campaigns.
