Who we are
The Division of Enrollment & Academic Services was created in 2010 to bring together academic-related administrative units that directly support both undergraduate and graduate students within Academic Affairs. The two-fold mission of Enrollment & Academic Services is (1) to provide direct and indirect support for all students on behalf of the colleges, schools, and campuses of the university through centralized enrollment management services and (2) to provide centralized business, IT, data and reporting services and resources to the Division of Academic Affairs. The division consists of the following units: Admissions, Registrar, Scholarships & Financial Aid, International Student Services, the Visitor Center, the Career Center, Enrollment Marketing, and Data and Research Services, along with the Provost IT Office, Academic Affairs Business Services, Enterprise Information Systems, the Open Access Labs, and Instructional Media Services. Enrollment & Academic Services comprises over 600 budgeted employees and 530 student/part-time workers.

Our team is seeking a Creative Manager to provide creative direction and design for marketing and communication needs of assigned Texas A&M University members. The Creative Manager will oversee and design printing and production of promotional materials for internal and external uses and mediums, including traditional print, electronic, social media, and multimedia. The successful candidate is dependable, enjoys leading initiatives and has a positive attitude. Time management, flexibility, and the ability to work as a motivated self-starter are all crucial for success in this position. We need an individual who is creative and able to promote and enhance the public image and identity of our division. Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years of related experience in graphic design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing, or related field
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
Knowledge of print processing equipment
Knowledge of graphic design
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Design or Communications related field, including Communication, Design, Visualization, or Marketing
Seven years’ experience in design, including print and online media
Experience working in the marketing and communications field
Experience working within brand guides or standards
Experience creating CSS/HTML for websites or email templates
Experience with project management or using a project management tool
Experience building simple web elements in html/css and building templates in email programs, such as Maestro or Emma
Understanding of principles of Responsive Web Design, processes, and wireframing.
Understanding of social media strategy
Ability to create print specifications, obtain print bids, prep files for printing, oversee proofing and production, and perform press checks. Excellent time management skills
Responsibilities:
Art Direction – Lead creative team in brainstorming, development and implementation of creative campaigns for the Division of Enrollment & Academic Services.
Graphic Design – Develop, design, and coordinate all print advertising and promotional materials: this includes calendars, newsletters, handbooks, brochures, flyers, posters, banners, bulletin boards, sandwich boards, newspapers, and magazine ads.
Web Direction – Lead web development by reviewing all current websites and working with web developer to keep websites current with design and UX. As well but not limited to keeping up with current and new web technology and trends and implement into current admissions websites. Interact with director staff members regarding topics to help identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain a positive relationship with other personnel and departments that assist in the development of the department and its programs. Attend local, state, and national workshops, and conferences; host and present at various workshops. Perform other duties as assigned.
