The Design Group Creative Play and Toy division operates under the name Anker Play Products. The creative play and toy line has been a steady and growing category of product within the DG business and has an incredible portfolio of toys, kids crafts and games for mass market and value channel customers. Our extensive product line offers a wide range of creative play products for all children and all seasons.
We are recruiting for a temporary Designer to work onsite in our newly renovated top floor office in Miami Beach, FL. This assignment will last approximately 3 months. Our team operates in an open concept workspace allowing your creativity to flourish and grow. Anker Play launched in 2016 and continues to grow rapidly with product in many major retail stores such as Five Below, Target, and Walmart.
WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
In this role, you will work with high quality craft, activity, and toy products such as stationary, slime, jewelry kits and more! We will look to you to develop concepts and designs for product and packaging across several private label brands and you will play an integral role in taking those private label brands to the next level of success.
You will research product and packaging trends to deliver best-in-class, customer-centric design solutions and will work on creative initiatives from concept to completion.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
You have a bachelor’s degree in packaging, graphic design, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You are adept in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop and you have a portfolio showcasing your work and design process.
You can create digital mockups while maintaining pixel-perfect attention to detail; experience creating physical mockups a plus. You have worked in the consumer packaging design industry and have a familiarity with toy, novelty, or other similar products.
You have exceptional skills in illustration, iconography, typography, and layout. Experience in copywriting for things like game directions and packaging callouts is a plus.
