Job description: Role/Responsibilities
The Director – DevOps will implement the DevOps vision within the KYC line of business. He or she is responsible for contributing to the vision, long term strategy, and roadmap of DevOps within the organization. He or she ensures that the DevOps engineering function materially accelerates the productivity of the development, QA, and production engineering teams through automation and repeatable processes.
Collaborate with development team to define architecture, optimize performance, and rightsize environments.
Work closely with development teams to optimize workflow processes.
Deep knowledge of continuous integration and configuration management tools.
Expertise in multiple technical environments and knowledge of one or more business areas.
Define DevOps along with quality guidelines and standards.
Develop CI/CD pipelines for multiple functions, improving quality and operational efficiency
Lead in project planning processes.
Establish and maintain test environments.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems.
Leads technical evaluation of new technologies and tools.
Serve as tactical relationship manager between DevOps teams, business, senior LOB management, and vendors.
Manage and mentor global team of DevOps engineers.

Qualifications
Comprehensive expertise (10 years) in the following areas:
Subject matter expertise in multiple strategic areas.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternative solutions.
Design, implementation, and management of Continuous Integration and Deployment processes for large size organization
Extensive Cloud experience (Amazon AWS preferred) especially in architecting, deploying, and managing production workloads
Proven record of managing medium to large size DevOps engineering team(s).
BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Masters in Business Administration or graduate degree in related field a plus.
Additional coursework and/or some training certifications are preferred.
The key competencies for this position include the following:
Deep Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) including Agile Development Methodology
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and, consultative skills, work effectively with clients, vendors, peers, and business/IT management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to stay current on trends and development within functional area of experience along with the industry.
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to learn, a can do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow.
Knowledge of at least one and preferably two programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++/C#)
Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, analytical thoroughness, clear and concise communications, and the ability to lead and mentor team members.

Compensation/Benefits Information
For Colorado-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range for this position is $ [131,500] to $ [190,600], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual performance incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
