Rain’s Finance team is looking for a Director of Accounting to lead at a global scale. This person will be responsible for our global general ledgers and coordinate with our other global directors.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Oversee the monthly and annual financial statements for both US and India entities
Define technical accounting standards to be implemented within the accounting operations team
Engage tax preparation firm and deliver tax returns which meet federal and state deadlines
Work with the information technology department to ensure procurement process compliance
Prepare supporting schedules which are audit-ready and liaise with auditors
Refine accounts payable process and ensure vendors are paid on a timely basis
Manage review of all insurance policies, ensuring coverages and limits are appropriate
Coordinate ongoing roll-out of corporate credit cards and pur review structure in place
Implement employee expense reimbursement platform and communicate to end users
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
8+ years experience in related fields
Experience supervising accounting staff
Knowledge of tax regulations at the federal and state level
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across departmental functions
Worked in a startup environment before, accustomed to handling multiple roles
Lead implementation of new software products and company programs
Past participation in fundraising events or sales of company
Experience reporting directly with senior management
Has worked with multiple entities and/or subsidiaries
Prior management of globally dispersed teams
CPA certification required
