Princeton Tool, a Princeton Precision Group company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Engineering Manager for a long-term role within our organization. The ideal candidate will perform and oversee the programming of CNC machinery, refine product and process development, refine current programs, and develop new programs. To be successful in this role candidates will have a strong background in the investment casting process; to include the wax, EDM, CNC Milling, and CMM / blue light inspection processes. Salary compensation for this role is negotiable and based upon industry experience.

Requirements:
- Review customer source control drawings, specification control drawings, and other applicable specifications to determine requirements and/or feasibility of product
- Drawing rough sketches and performing mathematical computations to develop design and work out detailed specifications of components
- Applying knowledge of mathematical formulas and physical laws and using conventional and computerized work aids to make calculations
- Performing preliminary and advanced work in development of working layouts and final master drawings, adequate for detailing parts and units of design for new proposals and current designs
- Making revisions to size, shape, and arrangement of parts to create practical design drawings
- Participating in engineering and general design reviews as required
- Preparing acceptance test procedures and assembly instructions
- Assisting with the preparation of proposal documentation, technical data such as qualification test procedures, reports, component maintenance manuals, etc.
- Performing liaison function between Engineering staff and all internal departments, including Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Tooling, Wax, and Metal
- Interacting with vendors and customers on engineering design issues
- Mentoring less experienced Designers and Drafters
- Checking design work of other engineering department members including layout, form, fit, function, materials, specification callouts, geometrics, dimensioning, and others as directed
- Designing studies, tolerance stack-ups, layouts, drawings, calculations, weight estimates, supporting documentation, etc.; completing on 2-D/3-D CAD or other computer applications
- Keeping supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress on all assignments
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum ten years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer reports, specifications, and government standards
- 2 or more years of experience with CAD / CAM software package
- Ability and willingness to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability and willingness to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate component and assembly weight, area, volume, and circumference
- Ability and willingness to apply common sense understanding to solve problems and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
