Job description: Work closely with product, design, TD and Q&R teams to evaluate the electrical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, sub-components, systems and manufacturing process.
Summarize the information and report to internal customers.
Responsible for identifying and researching component & system failures to improve product yield, quality and/or reliability.
Conduct hands on lab work, define failure analysis strategy, and recommend corrective actions/fixes to internal customers.
Uses all standard electronic test equipment (digital/analog) such as Logic analyzer, ICE, ITPO oscilloscope and test systems to do board failure analysis and debug.
Strives to proliferate shared learning across sites. Maintain necessary records and reports. Performs other related duties as required or as directed.
Your responsibilities will include but are not be limited to:
Utilizing modern techniques in failure analysis such as nano-probing to locate circuit fails and benchmark transistor and interconnection performance quickly and reliably.
Developing new test methodologies for failure analysis on future products.
Authoring failure analysis reports and identifying root causes.
Supporting new process/product transfer and startup and the automation and improvement of the failure analysis process.
Collaborating with design, integration, device, and yield engineers to assist in device and circuit evaluation.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/ Physics or related field.
1+ years of experience on hand-on electrical measurements and interpretation of physical mechanism.
1+ years of experience in semiconductor technology development or manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in device physics and CMOS transistor level circuit.
Knowledge in additional areas like microprocessor architecture, I/O structure, packaging is a plus. Inside this Business Group
