You will be responsible for expanding and maintaining our corporate clients headquartered within the Americas region. You will be active in maintaining client engagements and providing solutions in an ever-changing industry. The FCM Consulting team serve different corporate clients across various industries: FMCG, Retail, Health, Industrial, Infrastructure & Transport, Government, Construction, Telecommunications, Insurance, and many more. Our clients are varied, however when it comes to their corporate hotel program, they all have central need to outsource their sourcing and category management plans, look for cost effective accommodation solutions for their business, take an agile approach to suppliers over 1-2-year programs.

This is an exciting role that demands strong customer engagement skills coupled with a track record of being in the hotel industry for more than 5years.

To be successful in this role you will need exceptional negotiation skills, knowledge of Cvent/Lanyon, confidently navigate data, have a strong hold on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and have a polished communication style.

You will be a highly commercial and proactive individual with demonstrated experience in a similar position either with a TMC, Consultancy, or Buyer. General knowledge of corporate hotel procurement practices, combined with a strong understanding of the business travel industry will be highly regarded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a key member of the FCM Consulting team, the Hotel Consultant will

  • Develop, supply, and manage optimal accommodation solutions globally, while meeting and exceeding the expectations of the client
  • Follow best practice in the areas of supplier sourcing, customer engagement, negotiations, data management, program reporting, and market intelligence
  • Establish and drive category management plans and provide continuous sourcing, review clients’ hotel program expenditure and compliance volumes, provide recommendations of change and adjustment
  • Lead client hotel sourcing activities engagements following agreed statement of works, developing business requirements and solutions
  • Manage all sourcing deliverables through Cvent/Lanyon, including bid analysis, negotiations, reporting, supplier management, etc.
  • Provide regular project status reports to client, FCM Consulting team, and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure global best practices and standards are implemented and continue to evolve
  • Manage client relationships, being the ‘primary face’ to the clients’ hotel programs throughout the engagement and/or duration of the hotel supplier term
  • Team-up with high caliber FCM Consulting colleagues in day-to-day activities across the region and globally
