Job description: The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution for a defined set of third-party and customer events that Siemens EDA, part of Siemens Digital Industries Software participates in to drive market presence and serve the needs of its user community and/or prospects. These events for Siemens EDA are delivered as physical, virtual or hybrid experiences. The person in this role supports the Marketing team in implementing the event strategy, which drives a communication continuum of connected experiences that satisfy business requirements. They work directly with the Marketing team for Siemens EDA and multiple key stakeholders to define and implement the overall project plan for each event to ensure success against objectives.

The Field Marketing Manager also assists in planning, execution and the management of online demand generation campaigns and effectivity integrating digital tactics into our demand creation campaigns.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Marketing Manager drive coordinated, Siemens produced events, third party-led events and customer events targeting our user community and potential prospects
  • Together with the Business Owner of each event, define objectives based on business requirements
  • Define metrics and related targets aligned to objectives for measuring the success of each event
  • Create and manage overall project plan to drive efficient execution of each event
  • Lead all aspects of the selection of agencies and third-party vendors required to complete the business objectives
  • Coordinate all event logistics
  • Negotiate agreements with events service providers and subcontractors to ensure best value for dollars spent
  • Lead and reconcile event budgets
  • Assist in planning and coordinating digital media programs and communications across the Siemens EDA sales regions
  • Contribution to and support of direct & indirect target market definitions and go-to-market strategies.

Skills and Abilities Required:

This position requires an individual who has both event marketing and digital marketing knowledge with strong planning, execution, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of market, specific demonstrated ability and the passion to communicate our vision to the market while supporting our sales team is important.

  • Deep understanding of how to optimize an organization’s role as a sponsor/partner of a third-party event to deliver an excellent attendee experience and maximum return on investment (ROI)
  • Experience developing and completing physical, virtual and hybrid events
  • Hands-on corporate event planning and logistics experience, ideally within the same or similar industry
  • Proven success in growing efficiencies and return on investment (ROI)
  • Management of event communications to multiple complex stakeholder groups
  • Selection of third-party vendors and agencies
  • Management of projects, budgets, and prioritization to support success and efficiency
  • Experience in digital marketing and social media planning and execution
  • Knowledge of the b-to-b sales cycle and how to find opportunities to improve demand generation, pipeline contribution and sales opportunity acceleration
  • Innovative; able to think both strategically and creatively to build industry-leading campaigns and ideas
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive, and persistent
  • Readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements
  • Highly collaborative and goal/results oriented
  • Proficient in English is mandatory.

Education and Experience Requirement:

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Confirmed marketing experience in the B2B software industry, specific domain experience is preferred
