Pay Grade

Salaried Grade 4, 6, 8 or 10, depending on qualifications


Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (other hours as needed)

This is an onsite position with up to three days remote work available, depending on business need.

Job Summary

As the Workday HRIS Analyst, you will work as part of the HR Information Systems team. You will help to maintain the system, implement improvements, ensure data quality, analyze, and report on the data in the Workday ecosystem. In this role, you would also often be the go-to subject matter expert related to the Workday HCM and other modules. You would also help ensure that HR technology objectives align with the needs of our business.

Responsibilities include:

  • System Administration ownership (including setup, configuration, testing, training, and user support) of multiple Workday modules
  • Assigned areas may include a subset of the following: recruiting, onboarding, staffing, compensation, performance management, succession planning, benefits, payroll, absence management, or compliance
  • Maintenance of your assigned areas during system updates or upgrades, including end-user communication if needed
  • Work with HR teams and Management to understand business requirements, document those requirements, and propose appropriate and effective technology solutions
  • Develop prototype solutions in a sandbox or implementation environment, and then migrate approved solutions to the production environment
  • Create and deliver job aids and training as needed to business partners, management, and other consumers of our Workday system
  • Designs, develops, and maintains custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide accurate data, identify trends, and assist with decision-making
  • Designs, develops, and maintains business processes framework and security configurations in alignment with policy and governance requirements of the business
  • Active participation in the Workday Community and user conferences for ongoing learning and staying current as the system evolves
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive data that is privileged to a member of the HR Technology team
  • May serve in a project manager role for some cross functional HR technology implementations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, HR, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience (2 years of experience may substituted for 1 year of education)
  • One or more years’ experience with Workday HCM
  • Experience administering and/or supporting software solutions in a business environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to audiences with diverse technical background
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
  • Analytical mindset and strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in IT, HR, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Two to four years or more of Workday HCM experience
  • Experience with Workday business process framework, security configuration, and administration
  • Experience with Workday reporting and analytics
  • Workday Pro Certifications
  • Project management certification (e.g. Project+, CAPM, PMP, etc.)
  • HR certification (e.g. PHR, SPHR, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Lean principles (value stream mapping, etc.)
