As our Installation Sales Representative, you will be responsible for qualifying project leads, converting leads to deals, and following the project through to completion targeting contractors, owners, and facility managers while meeting or exceeding the team sales targets.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales and Installation, the Kanopi Installation Sales Representative will be responsible for qualifying project leads, converting leads to deals, and following the project through to completion targeting contractors, owners, and facility managers. Meets or exceeds sales budget based on team sales targets
What you’ll be doing:
- Uses quotes from inbound sales lead generation avenues and other channels to create a job follow-up queue.
- Follows-up with all associated contacts and performs additional selling techniques to close jobs.
- Creates competitive advantage and shapes solutions that create competitive differentiation.
- Collaborates with Field Sales to minimize channel conflict.
- Supports job follow-up by documenting all customer interaction and completed tasks in HubSpot.
- Tracks and reports monthly on key metrics which includes identifying all projects won or lost and if lost indicate why, Price, Relationship, Lead-time, Competitive Specs, Value Engineered.
- Generates options to close quotes and considers relevant factors (e.g., cost, benefits, risks, timing, buy-in) to select courses of action that optimizes sales success.
- Evaluates and targets business opportunities with greatest potential for producing positive results.
- Engages customers in mutual problem solving by brainstorming alternative approaches and evaluating them openly and fairly.
- Influences people who make buying/selling decisions and have a positive influence on others’ behavior.
- Develops productive relationships with key distributor, contractor, and company personnel.
- Provides product and technical expertise to customers by articulating the features, functions, and benefits of the proposed solution.
- Manages relevant contracts and agreements between Kanopi and business partners

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business discipline or equivalent combination of high school diploma and 2+ years of sales experience required.
- Experience using Salesforce, HubSpot or other CRM System.
- Experience with BlueBean Revue or similar job estimating software
- Experience with project management
