Job Summary
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for driving and maintaining economical and efficient Logistics solutions for Soho Studio/ TileBar, its customers and wholesale partners. This role includes supporting and/or leading the negotiation of routing of outbound shipments, service review and liaison with Carrier Management, budgeting, warehouse transfer transportation, private fleet administration for logistics accountabilities. Provide input and support for driving improvement in costs related to Freight and Departmental expenses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Data engineer (pivot tables, etc.). Suggest and/or develop/implement systems solutions to reduce manual data manipulation.
- Continuously drive improvement in people and processes.
- Anticipate issues and drive solutions in advance through systematic analysis of data.
- Ability to see and understand problems and how to stratify and eliminate waste and losses.
- Ability to assess facts quickly, take appropriate action and avoid unnecessary delays.

- Ability to always instill an appropriate sense of urgency with all associates.
- Ability to synthesize overall company objectives into meaningful operating objectives to ensure tactical alignment.
- Demonstrate expertise in transportation and industry best practices
- Identify and implement process improvement as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum (1-3) years of relevant work experience is required.
- Experience: Greater than (3-5) years of relevant in a related field is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively with all members of the team.
- Ability to multitask across several projects.
- Ability to meet and exceed deadlines.
- Understanding of pricing structures of all modes of transportation desirable
- Experience in multiple locations, the consumer products industry and international assignments are all desirable.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, Sales Pad and SAP systems a plus
- Excellent with Microsoft Suite.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
