The Configuration and Data Management (CDM) organization is responsible for ensuring our products are under configuration control and delivered on time. The CDM Organization consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Disciplines in the CDM organization participate in the life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. The CDM organization is comprised of Effector CM (ECM), Data Management (DM/DEX), Software Configuration Management (SWCM), and Sensor CM (SCM).
The Configuration and Data Management Department is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Analyst, located in Tucson, AZ.
Candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment of solving complex problems, have some knowledge and understanding of Government, Customer, and configuration management practices and standards, or relatable skills; must be able to work under general supervision, with minimal guidance and direction on managing and prioritizing their workload.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Lead the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, verification and accounting for systems and equipment in accordance with contractual requirements
Establish procedures for, and implement the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assigned program and represent the functional group in the implementation of common processes
Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities
Ensures implementation of customer and internal configuration management requirements
Manage change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance with contractual and configuration management policies
Implement change and status accounting activities to ensure compliance
Establish and control configuration identification processes and baselines
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree OR in absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
2 years of professional experience
Experience in Configuration Management or relatable field
Experience with a Product Data Management (PDM) tool or similar databases
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
General knowledge and understanding of configuration management principles using configuration management policies, procedures, and tools
Experience with MSOffice (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Take an analytical approach to solving complex configuration challenges
Solid competency in project planning
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present technical briefings to Leadership
Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed
Problem solve and identify impact to other organizations
