Job description: Job Summary
Schedule, recruit and conduct group and individual educational sessions on basic nutrition, budgeting, physical activity and food safety. Maintain a caseload of program participants as specified in the program criteria. Using an approved curriculum, teach food and nutrition and physical activity-related subject matter to limited resource audiences in person and virtually. Work closely with the Regional Supervisor in program implementation. Conduct a pre-and post-test evaluation in program implementation.
***This position is part-time .50 FTE, located in Jefferson/Switzerland Counties***
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must pass ServeSafe certification exam based on provided training within first year of employment, or have previous ServeSafe certification.
- Must have valid driver’s licenses “Must be able to speak, write, read and thoroughly understand English language.
- Basic Reading, Math and Writing skills.
- Ability to travel to and from agencies, homes, and the Extension Office.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry 10-20 pounds and occasionally up to 30-40 pounds.
- Must have the ability to walk upstairs as well as lift and carry boxes up and down stairs. Basic Computer skills required; must have basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to navigate and operate internet-based applications and websites. Knowledge of video recording and editing software.
- Must be skilled in Webex, Zoom, YouTube and Google Classroom.
- National Nutrition Certification and all Purdue University training such as Title IX Mandatory Reporter and CITI trainings are required.
