Job Description
Here within Lockheed Martin’s Laser and Sensor Systems Business we are looking for a Purchasing & Engineering Aide to join our team, in Bothell, Washington.
Role responsibilities include:
- Entering Purchase Requests from engineering into our purchasing systems
- Helping with engineering lab and lab equipment management
- Assisting Engineers in finding distributors that have stock of components and then creating the purchase requests
- Tracking and managing budgets for small engineering purchases
- Interface with vendors, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and other functions
- Low level technical calculations and drawings
- Data processing

Basic Qualifications
*Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position*
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tool set, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to multitask and to collaborate with engineering and independently drive material purchases
- Financial management of engineering overhead budgets and purchase card (P-Card)
- Possess strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
- Must possess strong organizational and accounting skills with the ability to multitask and collaborate with the engineering team to define laboratory usage requirements and track technical issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage engineering overhead equipment charge accounts and independently drive material purchases
Desired skills
- An independent and detail-oriented mindset
- Comfortable within a rapid development environment
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA (or similar) issue tracking databases
- Experience with Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) (or similar) databases
- Previous expense budget management
- Be self-motivated in performance of duties with limited supervision

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Security Clearance Information
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
