This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Purchasing Coordinators in the Southeast. The Purchasing Manager will also work with other internal departments such as Customer Service, Accounts Payable, and Administration.

Location

This role is REMOTE and open to all candidates who live in the East Coast & Texas!

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Best Practice Documentation for Purchasing within the East Region
  • Develop and Implement further education training for Purchasing Team
  • Establish, Train, and Implement Back Up Purchasing Coverage within Southeast
  • Work with Inventory Management Team to Develop Regional SOP on Inventory and Cycle Count Requirements
  • Manage elevated concerns within Regional area between ILG and Vendors
  • Work with National Merchandising on Vendor Pricing and Relationships with Regional Specific Vendors
  • Establish PK Training Opportunities for Regional Staff in Southeast Regional Areas
  • Work with other Department Managers to establish Cross Training Opportunities between other Core Operational Departments

Education & Experience

  • Associates degree (AA) in office related field or comparable work experience
  • SAP Experience
  • Five years purchasing experience
  • Two years supervisory/management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate or display office protocols to staff and other departments
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

Work Environment

  • Some travel is required.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting or standing in the same location or there may be a need to stoop regularly or move/lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds)
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
