Procurement – Planner will work within the supply chain management process so that products can be reliably delivered, and customers are always satisfied. This role should improve and align inventory levels with peaks and troughs in demand and enhance the profitability for a channel or product. The planner creates and maintains forecast models by gathering intelligence from sales, marketing, finance, retailers, and third-party logistics services. This position will be required to have dialogue with their key counterparts, which will include the Suppliers, Supply Chain leads, Account Specialist, and Product Development. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execute procurement business processes with overseas suppliers, primarily focusing on purchase order processing as well as invoices and payments
  • Work with Suppliers and Supply chain partners to resolve issues related to the P2P process, and other system issues; Take actions to improve processes within the immediate scope
  • Maintain Supplier delivery status within various data management systems and or receipts reports with the ability to trouble shoot and resolve discrepancies
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Provide input to the supplier and supply chain process in developing inventory priorities on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
  • Closely coordinate customer action plans with supply planning across their entire 3PL network
  • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales, product development, merchandising, and finance personnel
  • Focus on refining systems and methods to continually improve forecasts so that the company can better anticipate customer needs
  • Support Suppliers with product information including UCCLabel and purchase orders
  • Inventory evaluation between all warehouse locations and implementation of any necessary transfers
  • Maintain product development approval process for cost increases
  • Protect confidential and sensitive company information
  • Participating in special projects and performing other duties as required

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business Administration/Operations/Supply Chain or 5-year experience in a related field with experience in procurement and supply chain operations
  • Intermediate level or better in MS excel and MS Power Point
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and complete while meeting deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a professional attitude and representation
  • Good work ethics and business ethics
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in statistics, forecasting, and methods understanding their financial and operational impacts
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory turns, including how they are calculated, and the importance of increased inventory turns
