Tasked with providing outstanding customer service to student organizations, journals and affinity groups, this position serves as a key member of the centralized accounting team for the School of Law.
Provide guidance and support to student organizations, journal leaders, and affinity groups on managing and expending their funds by providing guidance on UT accounting procedures, purchasing guidelines, and Law School accounting processes. Work with student leaders on trademark use and approvals. Provide training and guidance as necessary.
Act as lead on journal financial matters and financial processing and reporting for the student journals.
Assist with processing travel authorizations, travel reimbursements, entertainment reimbursement documents and departmental voucher processing. Track documents through all stages of receiving and payment.
Liaise with various internal Law groups including the student affairs office, financial aid office, and special events to aid student organizations and journals on financial matters.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience at the Administrative Assistant or Administrative Associate level; or high school diploma/GED and seven years of clerical experience, with one year of that experience at the Administrative Assistant or Administrative Associate level. Experience in working effectively in MS Office suite products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Demonstrated adaptability and history of service-minded approach to executing job functions and success working in both a team setting and independently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills. Professional demeanor with regular and punctual attendance.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Experience in a position that demonstrated advanced competency in direct customer service, problem solving, or related job knowledge. Experience working with the UT Mainframe. Experience in identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner. Experience working in a university environment.
$48,000 + depending on qualifications
Flexible between 7am – 6pm
Some hybrid telework is permitted
