Summary: This position is responsible for managing complex labor and employment law matters that affect the company and for advising in-house business clients. Candidates must be skilled at minimizing and retiring employment and labor law risk in a strategic, yet cost-effective manner. Candidates should possess a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following subjects: complex employment law advice and counsel, traditional labor law, international employment law, or employment litigation. Candidates should be familiar with both standard and complex legal concepts, practices, and procedures. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with other legal staff members and stakeholders.
This position will periodically counsel members of senior management and the candidate must exhibit the competence and professionalism needed to earn the trust of members of the company’s management team.
This position will be based at the Company headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation is available.
Education: Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. Experience: 6 plus years of legal experience required
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: A team player who can effectively communicate with and respond to clients in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently with outside counsel. Must exercise good judgment in all tasks.
Supervisory: Manage outside counsel and possible supervision of other in-house attorneys paralegals or administrative assistants.
Travel: 3-4 domestic trips annually as business needs.
