Job description: Treasury Data Management (TDM) is seeking an experienced loans product specialist to join the Banking Products Team as a Senior Data Analyst.
The Banking Products Team within TDM is responsible for ensuring that the Loans and Deposits data used to calculate and report the Bank’s key Liquidity and Capital regulatory ratios, Net Interest Income, internal Transfer Pricing, Hedge Capacity, etc., are timely, accurate, and properly controlled. We serve as the connection point between the business needs of the various Treasury functions (Global Liquidity Management, Enterprise Capital Management, Balance Sheet Management, Global Funding Desk, etc.) and the data required from across the enterprise to meet those needs.
The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience as a Business, Finance, or Data Analyst working with Consumer or Commercial Loans information in one or more of several capacities:
Loan Operations or LOB Middle/Back Office support
Financial and/or Regulatory Reporting
Credit Risk or Risk Analytics for Wholesale or Consumer Credit
Data Management & Governance in the Wholesale Credit, Consumer Banking, or Credit Risk domains
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the products (Commercial and/or Consumer loans) and how they are represented in data throughout the data supply chain. Further, they should have base familiarity of the more critical reporting use-cases produced by risk, finance, and/or regulatory reporting groups (e.g., Liquidity, Capital, etc.).
Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Data Analyst, you will…
Own and drive BAU and initiative work efforts in a portfolio of project work to meet critical business objectives, provide clear and timely status communications, and raise and document risks and issues
Work collaboratively across technology, business, and data management teams to research ‘break-fix’ production data issues and drive the implementation of timely solutions
Partner with downstream Treasury data consumers (Liquidity, Capital, and Balance Sheet Management) and upstream data providers to research and document the data implications of new/changed reporting requirements, and then work with Technology and Change partners to develop, implement, and test solutions
Summarize and present the results of research and analysis activities clearly and with the appropriate context to influence action and facilitate decisions
Support regular audits and exams by our 2nd and 3rd lines of defense, external auditors, and regulators by providing requested information in a timely manner
Continuously evaluate our business processes to identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve how we do what we do whenever/wherever possible

Possess a working-knowledge of how loans data moves through systems from origin to use, and experience using SQL and Excel to research issues, trends, and impacts
Be a driven self-starter, dynamic and engaging, and able to ‘connect the dots’ very rapidly in an environment with aggressive deadlines and competing priorities
Demonstrate prior success in a role requiring a multi-disciplinary skillset, combining aspects of data/product analysis, project management, and data governance roles
Have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills – able to summarize complex issues clearly and succinctly and communicate findings with impact to drive action
Have a basic working knowledge of technology change management practices such as Agile, waterfall, or other SDLC methodologies
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) – or related work experience
