Job description: The Senior Business Process & Product Manager leads a highly visible function within the Wealth Management (WM) National Investment Practice by leading the investment platform capabilities team. The investment platform is a suite of tools and capabilities utilized by WM front office advisors in management of HNW client portfolios, with ~300 billion in platform AUM. Responsibilities include ownership of platform roadmap and budget, quarterly business review (QBR) process, OKR/KPI identification and tracking, oversight of production support, ownership of key vendor relationships (internal & external) and management/development of team talent.

Key Tasks

Investment Platform Planning & Strategy

  • Lead implementation of ‘ideal state’ platform to facilitate National Investment Practice and WM BU objectives
  • Lead business case development for investment platform capital investments; oversee implementation and testing
  • Manage platform roadmap and budget in collaboration with WM Digital Services and Practice CAO
  • Own Investment Practice QBR process in collaboration with WM Digital Services and Practice Leadership
  • Identify, track and report on platform Objective and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Solicit and prioritize investment advisor feedback
  • Understand and respond to investment platform industry trends

Investment Platform Performance & Oversight

  • Lead production environment oversight and facilitate escalation for critical support
  • Own relationship with technology support teams
  • Identify, track and report on platform Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain oversight and tracking of internal and external platform service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Develop and maintain governance standards
  • Facilitate root cause analysis on platform issues
  • Liaise between front-office partners and internal providers where needed

Investment Platform Advocate & Influencer

  • Build cross-BU relationships to advocate and influence in support of Investment Practice needs and initiatives
  • Develop strong relationship with WM Digital Services

Talent Management & Development

  • Manage Investment Practice Business Analyst/Capabilities Team
  • Coach team members to further develop personal skill sets, critical thinking and self-reliance
  • Manage investment platform support org structure within Investment Practice

Investment Practice Support

  • Partner across Investment Practice in support of Practice needs and initiatives
  • Support the Chief Investment Officer with special projects as needed

Knowledge and Skills

  • Leadership and organizational skills to manage across disciplines required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Executive level presentation experience preferred
  • Experience in business strategy, long term planning and project management preferred
  • Experience/understanding of wealth management ops across front/middle/back office preferred
  • Experience managing and developing talent preferred
  • Knowledge of capital markets: equity, fixed income, alternative investments and risk management principles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft suite

Qualifications

  • 10+ years relevant work experience in asset servicing or investments (e.g., portfolio management, front office / middle office operations, program management)
  • Advanced degree or investment certifications preferred
