Job description: This senior level position is responsible for working across multiple University business areas and IT teams to develop multi-year roadmaps that drive products/projects and advance the University’s strategic priorities. This position will work as an individual contributor and as a team member during various stages of product or solution development and ongoing planning.
Through strong partnership with University’s business partners and leadership, this position helps the University identify a map out plans for the years to come and identify key opportunities for investment and change around technology products and solutions. The position will manage a broad portfolio of partners and products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or comparable discipline
4-6 years of relevant experience in product management, development, analysis or equivalent combination of experience, certification and education is required.
Experience driving elements of the product or solution development lifecycle such as product vision, strategy, requirements, and product launch.
Ability to quickly assess the specific needs of the customer to determine an appropriate course of action.
Knowledge or and skill in developing product or business focused roadmaps.
Ability to influence others without direct authority.
Business acumen coupled with technical knowledge
Strong listening skills
Strong research skills with attention to detail
Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and business case development
Must be able to work independently and proactively
Excellent organizational, analytical, and independent problem-solving skills
Demonstrated successful performance with, giving presentations to both small and large audiences,
Time management
Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management, process mapping and improvement, project management, and production support
Demonstrated understanding of business analyst tools and techniques; demonstrated proficiency using MS Office and Visio tools
Preferred
ITIL framework and IT product methodologies
Familiarity with testing techniques and software
Prior experience in higher education environments a plus

ITIL Foundations Certification or pass within first 6 months of employment;
