A role in Network Planning and Global Intelligence means creating industry leading intelligence solutions to drive best in class omnichannel guest experiences at the lowest cost to Target. The TTOPS (Target Transportation Operating Systems) product team sits within NPGI and is responsible for the delivery of product outcomes which enable the future transportation operating model. Transportation’s role in Supply Chain is critical as it enables getting inventory into our network (First Mile), moving inventory within our network (Middle Mile), and delivering goods to the Guest (Last Mile). We’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity.

The Senior Project Manager – Transportation is part of the Product Activation team within TTOPS. Your primary responsibility will be to manage initiatives in the International Transportation and Global Trade Product Portfolio. You will get an opportunity to work across miles based on priorities.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will

  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders and product managers for early stage problem definition, assess risk/ dependencies and influence prioritization based on impact vs effort.
  • Establish portfolio level view of key initiatives, actively communicate project status across multiple forums and audiences, and maintaining project management tools including project timeline, communication plan, dashboards, decision logs, and risk analysis tools.
  • Support product team in “driving the strategy” by aligning product roadmaps with initiatives across broader Target Supply Chain.

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

About you:

  • Four year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience managing projects or programs and comfortability with project management tools (MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, etc.)
  • Ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex processes or problems succinctly
  • Highly self-motivated and committed to the development of high-quality work and productivity with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to influence supply chain partners without authority

  • Experience in Transportation and/or Supply Chain

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is $65,600-$118,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
