Job description: The Global Marketing Team (GMT) is responsible for ensuring that Citi has a consistent brand voice across the enterprise and serves as a marketing center of excellence, seeking to elevate marketing strategy and execution, globally. GMT plays an essential role in driving growth by strengthening Citi’s brand and bringing the best of Citi’s products and experiences to life across client and prospect touchpoints.
The Strategy and Operations team is aimed at empowering GMT to deliver high performance and growth to our businesses through: (1) market intelligence & analytics to sharpen our priorities and marketing strategies (2) disciplined finance, controls, and agency/partner management which maximize our resources and deliver a “clean year” and (3) embedding best-in-class processes and marketing capabilities – putting the best resources and knowledge at hand.
Looking for a highly driven individual with excellent communication and analytical skills to own a series of strategic initiatives spanning market intelligence, analytics and executive communications:
- Lead a team of 5 analysts to support organization’s analytical needs; lead team to deliver on monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc business performance KPIs
- Lead efforts to quantify and effectively communicate the impact of a wide range of Brand and Sponsorships marketing initiatives; leverage creative problem solving to demonstrate value in a way that is quantitative, rigorous, and tied to desired business outcomes
- Own the marketing intelligence workstream, keeping the broader marketing community informed on all relevant developments within financial services marketing and highlighting how trends and insights are applicable to Citi; lead quarterly presentations
- Design and own internal reporting of global agency/advertising & marketing vendor expenses including identification of trends and efficiency opportunities. In addition, provide analysis to inform any RFP discussions and vendor selection
- Support executive communications related to periodic reporting and performance measurement on behalf of the CMO
- Spearhead key strategic projects as needed; cultivate strong relationships across the team’s brand marketing functions and analytics group and partner closely with key stakeholders on ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- 10 plus years of experience in marketing, management consulting or other strategy role; financial services experience a plus
- Genuine interest in financial services marketing and brand-building
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills; takes initiative in the absence of direction and effectively collaborates with colleagues from adjacent teams as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience crafting compelling “storylines” and comfort presenting to large/senior audiences
- Ability to synthesize information from various sources and distill out insights and implications
- Demonstrated analytical skills; familiarity and proficiency with the basics of statistics and accounting
- Top-tier proficiency in PowerPoint; excellent attention to detail
- Management consulting experience highly valued
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, MBA a plus
