QUALIFICATIONS:
– Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business or a related field;
– 5 years of agile software development or relevant technical project management experience required including relevant experience in 1 or more phases of product development life cycle.
Alternative Requirement: Master’s degree in Technology, Business or a related field plus 3 years of agile software development or relevant technical project management experience required including relevant experience in 1 or more phases of product development life cycle.
Any experience with all of the following:
· Advanced knowledge of the IT industry and the product domain including experience with hosting platforms and software architecture.
· Technical product management of Web/Mobile Applications including IOS/Android solution knowledge, End-End system design, and API knowledge.
· Digital product management including UI/UX, content management, & security of applications across all platforms.
· Advanced understanding of business as it relates to the hosting industry.
· Advanced knowledge of product development life cycle (relevant experience in 1 or more phases) including acting as strategic contributor to overall product strategy, roadmap and releases and facilitating Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demos.
· Strong ability to work with diverse team and incorporate needs and feedback from multiple sources.
· Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures including experience with writing user stories and acceptance criteria; technical documentation capturing detailed technical specifications, functional/non-functional requirements and build process flows; overseeing A/B Testing/SIT/UAT and product testing analysis.
· Managing and tracking projects through JIRA and other ticketing tools/project management software including: Feature/epic prioritization, backlog grooming, reporting progress, team velocity, building dashboards to monitor sprint health/release health & application statistics;
· Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and product compliance.
· Must be collaborative in driving decisions.
· Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines.
· Advanced knowledge of product management and marketing.
· Understanding of industry certifications including: SAFe, ITIL, Agile, DEVOps, Cloud, FullStack, Martech, Oracle, RoR, AWS, etc.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Oversees application builds for all Rackspace internal & external customer facing portals & mobile apps. Drives all enterprise resource planning (ERP) Automations/Transformations projects from conception to launch, ensuring customer goals are met within the boundaries of budgets and technical constraints. Works with the Product Manager to understand and build the Product Roadmap, writes user stories, elaborates requirements, assists the development of acceptance tests, and is always available to the development teams to clarify ambiguity around product requirements by representing the interest of the customer/client/stakeholder. Escalates project resourcing concerns to department leaders for proper forecasting of personnel and equipment. Works with Scrum Masters to facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including but not limited to Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews/Demos. Serves as an escalation point to remove or help resolve impediments for the product development team. Defines the product’s software development life-cycle (SDLC) process, participates in the approval of intake in the Intake Review process and gathers requests for the sprint backlog. Facilitates the prioritization of the backlog, enforcing priorities from leadership and product management to the development team. Communicates development team level of effort (LOE), technical risk, and dependencies to internal stakeholders. Ensures the development team remains on sprint schedule and sprint goals are met through tracking and reporting milestones and communication with stakeholders. Ensures development team creates and maintains technical documentation. Responsible for team metrics including but not limited to velocity, cycle time and sprint reports, sprint health, release health, application statistics, etc. Meets with end-users and product management to understand business processes in stakeholder meetings. Works with developer SMEs and business systems analysts to define the systems functional and non-functional requirements for the product as user stories and acceptance criteria. Collaborates with various teams to identify integration points, potential impact and application dependencies, and assists in release management. Facilitates UAT sessions with users, leaders and stakeholders to gather feedback and future feature requests on behalf of the development team and Product Manager. Telecommuting is an option for this position.
