The Department of Health and Human Services is looking for two Accounting Clerks to join our Medicaid NFOCUS Overtime and Travel Time Claims team. This position, under immediate supervision, performs routine, clerical accounting work involving the preparation, maintenance, coding and processing of financial transactions, records and reports and performs related work as assigned. Successful candidates will be organized, have excellent customer service skills, and demonstrate support of the team.
Examples of Work
Provide support to the Medicaid NFOCUS Overtime and Travel Time Claims unit by answering the phone and routing callers; opening and distributing mail; and scheduling meetings as needed. Answer inquiries from providers or individuals regarding payment status of overtime payments. Review NFOCUS Billing Documents or EVV payer dashboard for completeness and accuracy and ensure documentation meets agency requirements; and compute overtime for NFOCUS providers. Documents must be reviewed, verified and then scanned within the OnBase System and then entered into the NFOCUS System for claims processing and adjudication.
Qualifications / Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum Requirements: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
Preferred : At least one year of customer service experience, experience with Enterprise One, NFOCUS, OnBase, and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The principles and practices of clerical accounting/bookkeeping methods, forms and techniques; the methods of filing and maintaining accounting records; mathematical functions related to accounting processes; word processing and spreadsheet computer software programs. Skill in: listening to and understanding information and/or instructions received to perform assigned tasks; entering data into spreadsheets or data bases. Ability to: learn and apply agency policies and guideline pertinent to clerical accounting; learn clerical accounting terminology, code and classifications; communicate to express ideas and facts; compute and compile financial data involving the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions; operate office equipment such as personal computers, scanners, photocopiers and desk calculators; extract data from established accounts for use in preparing accounting reports and statements.
Expected salary: $12 per hour
