The Morgan Stanley Business Risk –Vice President will be a member of the Operational Risk Transformation team. This candidate will be responsible for the managing assessments, reporting, logistics, and action plans across first and second line, partnering with key stakeholders within the U.S. Banks and the broader Firm.

Primary Responsibilities

Participate as a key team member in a project across first and second lines within the U.S. Banks to:

  • Implement near-term enhancements in specified areas
  • Perform an assessment of the current state of the Operational Risk frameworks in first and second lines
  • Design a Target Operating Model (TOM)
  • Create an implementation plan for the TOM
  • Execute on the TOM implementation plan

Key role activities

  • Assist with the management of external consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Onboarding of consultants
  • Management of request lists
  • Work with PMO on project status and associated reporting
  • Prepare regular updates to key stakeholders, senior leadership, and the Board
  • Review provided materials and participate in interviews
  • Review and challenge observations, recommendations, implementation plans, and associated execution

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Risk and Control
  • Experience working with Senior Management and control groups, including Legal, Risk, and Compliance
  • Knowledge of Heightened Standards
  • Must have excellent teamwork orientation and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
  • College degree required, advance degree a plus
  • Private Bank experience a plus
